Bre began feeling chest pains at the end of her shift as a dialysis nurse. As a medical professional she considered ignoring her symptoms, but decided to stop at the St. Luke’s Urgent Care in Creve Coeur on her way home. Bre notified the nurses that she was experiencing chest pain and they quickly expedited her care. The doctor performed an EKG test that came back normal. Shortly after, Bre went into ventricular fibrillation and cardiac arrest. The medical team at the St. Luke’s Urgent Care immediately began compressions, shocked her once and immediately transported Bre to the hospital.
“The amazing team at St. Luke’s Urgent Care saved my life.”
